ENGINEERING, PROCUREMENT & CONSTRUCTION ::

AEE has achieved excellence in designing and constructing state-of-the-art effluent treatment plant on turnkey basis. The activities for such projects include treatability studies, designing of treatment plant, procurement of equipment and instruments, construction of different plant units according to design, commissioning and if desired by the client - operation and maintenance of the plant. AEE undertakes projects under both anaerobic and aerobic technology. Some of the projects demonstrating our strengths in varied sectors are listed below.

Common Effluent Treatment Plant

Location: Ankleshwar, Gujarat
Year of commissioning: 1997

The first CETP with private sector participation has been established by AEE which treats wastewater generated from 200 small scale industries from diverse sectors in the biggest chemical industrial estate in Asia. This is the only CETP in the country, which receives highly acidic wastewater. Primary, secondary and tertiary treatment is provided to remove refractory organics from the wastewater. The plant treats highly acidic wastewater, thus requires handling of about 60 tons of lime. It is also equipped for dewatering 48 tons of sludge per day.

The design submitted for this plant was rated the best received by the World Bank and was used for benchmarking other CETPs.

A challenging project, AEE has done on EPC basis from process development till commissioning. Treats effluent from 30 chemical industries such as pharmaceuticals, dyes and chemicals located around the ECP canal (The largest effluent conveyance system in the country) Treats highly organic waste. Provided with primary secondary and tertiary treatment facilities.

The effluent treatment plants treats waste water generated from petrochemical complexes manufacturing Aniline and Nitrobenzene. AEE established Primary, Secondary and tertiary treatment facilities on EPC basis. The plant was backed by a DCS for controlling day to lay operations.

Reliance Industries Ltd.

Effluent Treatment Plant, at PFY plant

Location: Patalganga, Maharashtra
Year of Commission: 2002

A repeat Job, for upgrading the ETP to treat effluent generating from largest Polyster filament Yarn (PFI) in the country. AEE has provided Cavitation-Air-Floation type deoilers to remove oil and grease from the effluent before secondary and tertiary treatment to achieve COD less than 20 mg/L .The salient features of CAF technology includes energy efficiency combined with simplicity in Operation and Maintenance as compared to the existing dissolved air flotation system.

Location: Palanpur
Year of commission: 1994

Designing & building for Asia's largest vegetable oil refinery, the prescribed treatment scheme comprised oil-removal units followed by secondary & tertiary treatment. A repeat job was rewarded to condition the ETP effluent to be reused in in-plant green belt irrigation.

Gujarat Alkalies & Chemicals Ltd.

Milk of Lime preparation plant

Location: Dahej, Gujarat
Year of Commission: 1994

Fully mechanized & automated system, the process involved handling of lime powder, storage in silos, transfer, slaking, classification, storage & pumping to the process units. The package consisted bucket-elevators, screw-feeders, slaker cum classifier & slurry preparation tanks, agitators with pipings, valves & instrumentation inclusive.

Reliance Industries Ltd.

Effluent Treatment Plant, at PTA plant

Location: Patalganga, Maharashtra
Year of commissioning: 2002

AEE has established a fully automated, PLC controlled waste water treatment facility to treat the effluent from purified pterithalic acid (PTA) from the biggest petrochemical complexes in the country by using third generation technology of two stage anaerobic treatment (EGSB followed by UASB) in collaboration with Biothane Systems International, Netherlands. The plant third of its kind in the world and first in Asia. The Biogas (8000 m3/day) generated is utilized as a fuel in the boiler.

Veraval Industrial Association.

Common Effluent Treatment Plant and Conveyance System

Location: Veraval, Gujarat
Year of commissioning: under commissioning

AEE has been entrusted to design and built a convenience system of approximately 5.5 Km to convey the effluent from 50 fish processing industries to a common place for treatement. To quantify the waste contributed from individual units online metering systems are provided. Veraval GIDC comprises mainly seafood processing and package units. In the on-going project thorough understanding of the waste quality emphasized the requirement of dual biological treatment to scale down the polluting constituents. The dual treatment modes encompass an aerobic and anaerobic strategy.

The system is also being provided with a bio-gas DG and water reclaiming through RO scheme.
